Abaris International Ltd are happy to send equipment throughout the world, having already sent to as far afield as Australia (numerous overseas customers have found that our prices, even with carriage to the other side of the world, can be more competitive than popping to their local work at height store!). We charge postage at cost which ensures our prices remain competitive even once carriage has been factored in.
To order from abroad please first try our website (certain overseas countries are already set up with carriage - please contact us if you think the charge is excessive and we will look at other delivery options, a slower delivery service may be cheaper!). If online ordering is not possible then please either email or call with your potential order and we will put together a quote for you.
VAT on European Orders
Please note that if you are a VAT registered company based in the EU but outside the UK, you will be able to buy from us VAT free. VAT will be taken off at the checkout stage once you have selected your country of choice and entered your valid VAT number (This number will be cross-referenced with the VIES database). Norway customers without a VAT number please provide your PID number in your order notes as this is now required by Norwegian customs
Customs and Excise Charges / Local Duties and Taxes
Please note that orders from outside of the UK may be liable for customs or excise duty upon receiving the goods according to the customs and excise regulations in that country and any charges are the responsibility of the customer. We advise you to contact your local chamber of commerce to ascertain if you may be charged any import tax on your items. If you fail to pay the charges, and the courier we use returns the goods to us, then you will be liable for any associated charges for doing this (the cost of the return and / or any charges we have incurred to clear the items through your customs, plus a 20% restocking fee). If you fail to pay the customs charges and we are unable to recover the goods, we will not be able to offer a refund.
Associated Paperwork
All items bought from Abaris International are supplied with the manufacturer's instructions which are in English (they may also be shown into other languages - Please check the downloads on our website to confirm if the instructions are in language you require for your home country). We also supply a generic Certificate of Conformity with each order, which lists the standards to which each item has been tested to; it does not include individual serial numbers on the certificate.
European Certificates of Origin and Chamber of Commerce authenticated invoices can be organised for an additional charge.
Payment Security / Fraud
Important: Due to an increase in the level of international fraud we have implemented stringent security procedures for all overseas orders: your IP address and full details are logged by us, all orders are carefully assessed for their validity and all credit card payments are checked by the fraud protection team of our card services provider. In most instances we will only send goods to the address at which the credit card is registered. In addition, no goods will be sent until full payment has cleared.
