A buying guide for Mobile Fall Arresters
Fall arrest devices (back-up devices) come in a multitude of sizes / functionality, for attachment to rope and cable. As the name suggests, they provide the user with back-up in the event of a fall. They also have a variety of strengths and weaknesses, so it’s important that the user is fully trained in their use. It’s important to note that only certain devices offer the capacity for a two-person rescue load. As a result, some are only suitable for work positioning and fall arrest (not rope access).
